0:10 I’m a client, and you’ve already sent me an email with instructions for uploading my documents to the client portal. I’ve clicked the link, logged in, and now I’m on my client portal.
0:22 I can simply add a document, select the year, and either drag and drop files or select files.
0:28 You can upload multiple documents at once. As a typical client, I’ll upload a bunch here.
0:37 I was a little lazy this morning and didn’t want to scan my documents, so I just took some images on my phone. I’m uploading those JPEG images now.

1:08 I can go into James’s document folder and see all the JPEG images he uploaded. Since we prefer working with PDFs, I’ll select all the images and merge them.
1:17 I can change the description and the type to “work papers,” delete the source documents after the merge, and then — boom! — with one click, all the JPEGs are merged into a single, workable PDF.
1:30 From there, I go into our projects, locate James’s tax return project, update the status to “preparation,” assign it to the preparer, and attach a note. The preparer knows the project is ready, and the documents are accessible.
